The electronic invoice: what you need to remember for the healthcare professions sector

1.Key dates

  • 1st September 2026: All your issued invoices must be electronic + transmission of sales to the administration.
  • 1st September 2027: all your sales data must be transmitted automatically to the administration: Total generalisation.


2. Specifically,what changes

Before:paper invoices, errors, wasted time, manual storage.

After:everything automated, real-time tracking, fewer errors, automatic archiving.

Reimbursed acts: nothing changes.

Acts not listed :

  • If your clients are businesses→ electronic invoices mandatory.

  • If your clients are individuals→ declaration of your income (according to your software).

Relationships between healthcare professionals(replacement, collaboration…) → electronic invoicing mandatory.

  1. Identify your acts not listed
  2. Check your invoicing software (update 'e-invoice')
  3. Choose an approved platform (PA)
  4. Plan a short training for staff
  5. Test your system before summer 2026


4.Points of attention for you in the health professions

  • All businesses subject to VAT are affected (including micro-entrepreneurs).
  • Clients businesses= invoices must be electronic.
  • Clients individuals= your sales go through your till (or manual entry).
